Bicycle Safety Tune-up Workshop
Does your Bicycle need a Tune-up?
Do you want to learn how to do it yourself?
If you are over the age of 18 years and looking to tune-up your bicycle under the direction and supervision of a Certified Bicycle Assembly Mechanic, then this bicycle tune-up workshop will fill your needs. Spend one day with our instructor and you will not only repair and tune your bicycle, you will learn specific bicycle repair procedures in the process.
What you come away with regarding a Bicycle Tune-up
You will be assigned a professional workstation a full set of Professional Bicycle Tools during the workshop.
- Proper Bicycle Cleaning
- How to Inspect your bicycle for problems and design a Service Plan of Action
- Adjusting front and rear brakes (Disk Brakes, Rim Brakes)
- Adjusting front and rear gears (Learn about the screws, chain alignment, proper derailleur installation)
- Adjusting and Servicing front and rear wheel hubs. (Chain Bearings, Lubricate and reassemble)
- How to repair a Flat Tire (excludes tubeless)
- Adjusting the Headset (Threaded and Unthreaded Headsets)
- Let's discuss torque, and make sure your bicycle is properly torqued. (Binder Bolts, Bottom Bracket)
- Adjusting the Bottom BracketÂ
- Includes the cost of the Workshop shop supplies (grease, oil, cleaners, lubricants and rags)
Note: If your bicycle requires any components bar-tape, small parts, an additional fee may apply. All parts are provided by Circuit Cycle & Sports at a 15% discount to registered participants.
The class will take a 45 minute break at Noon. A full kitchen is available for anyone to use to prepare their lunch. (You supply your food, we supply the dishes and appliances)
Meet your Instructor:
Brian Hahn - Brian is the owner and operator of Circuit Cycle & Sports and the Central Alberta Bicycle School.
Brian is a Professional Certified Bicycle Mechanic, having built and serviced bicycles for ten year and instructed bicycle mechanics for over seven years.

- Instruction Time: 3.5 hours (4.5 Hours with Lunch Break)
