Investing in Excellence: The Case for Staff Training

The landscape of the bicycle industry continues to evolve, integrating new technologies and embracing innovative design. As a result, customers are increasingly seeking out shops that can provide not only quality products but also exemplary service. Training your staff in Professional Bicycle Mechanic skills creates a strong foundation for service excellence.

Top Tips for Selling Bicycles in today’s Market

At Central Alberta Bicycle School (CABS), we understand that selling bicycles—whether it be a sleek road bike, a rugged mountain bike, or a versatile commuter model—requires a unique approach that resonates with today’s cyclists. By tailoring your sales techniques to highlight the specific benefits and features that appeal to your customers, you can create a memorable experience that transforms a simple inquiry into a purchase. Engaging with customers on a personal level and demonstrating how each bicycle can enhance their lifestyle will not only boost your sales but also foster a loyal community of riders.

Mastering the Craft: Wheel Building and Truing

For professional bicycle mechanics, a well-built and true wheel is the backbone of reliable bicycle performance. Every ride begins and ends with the wheels; thus, their integrity is paramount. A properly built wheel ensures even tension distribution and resistance to wobbling, which can lead to premature wear or, worse, dangerous riding conditions. Through the proficiency in wheel building and truing, mechanics don’t just enhance a bicycle’s performance; they preserve the very essence of pedalling joy.
